Fridge/freezers

How come fridges have lights but freezers don't?

Its probably to do with the light bulb not functioning when it gets frozen!

No a typical freezer temprature is -22c. Thats the average temprature in Calgary but streetlights and car headlights still work. However the cars need to be plugged in but the freezer wouldn't need that function as its motor is at room temputure. My guess is the radiation from a bulb might melt some of the ice causing floor spoilage. Or perhaps the hunks of ice prevent good light distribution. Can anyone venture a guess?
